About Us

We are a group of Francophones (mostly French) and Francophiles dedicated to creating a social and educational club for those who are interested and involved with the French language and the many cultures of the French-speaking world. Our mission is to create and develop a network club in which people can learn French, travel, network, socialize, and share experiences. Club membership is open to everyone. The IFC has French classes available at all levels and a variety of social events open to the entire membership.

Our Teachers

All of our teachers are extremely passionate about teaching, subscribe to an open-minded teaching philosophy. Each teacher is a native French speaker with an advanced French degree, and more than five years experience in teaching French as a second language. Besides text and exercise books, all classes include the use of material that will expose you to the wide variety of the French-speaking world; among others, French news, French movies, novels, songs and cartoons. You will also be invited to participate in team work, games and role-plays that will express what you have learned.

The beginner classes

The beginner classes are divided into four levels that lay a solid groundwork in the French language. These classes cover the fundamental aspects of the French language and culture. After completion, you will be able to hold conversations on every-day situations.

The Intermediate classes

The Intermediate classes are divided into four levels that continue to reinforce both oral and written communication skills. At the completion of the intermediate levels, you will have a solid command of the French language.
